PSBA recognizes Massolutions’ work on Trojan Times
The Pennsylvania School Boards Association awarded The Trojan Times newsletter its 2009 Print Newsletter/Newspaper Award of Excellence. Massolutions designs and produces The Trojan Times for the Greater Johnstown School District.

The Trojan Times is distributed throughout the district’s four buildings, which include two elementary schools, a middle school and the high school. The newsletter is also mailed to homes throughout the district.

Trojan Times highlights the work of students, teachers and administrators four times a year. The newsletter includes seven sections and a detailed masthead with a list of school board directors, administrators, principals and contact information for all of the district buildings.

The “West Side Stories” and “East Side Stories” are two newsletter sections that spotlight the district’s elementary schools. “Middle School Milestones” is a section that features the activities and accomplishments of students in grades 6 to 8. The “Trojans Triumphs” section details the goings-on at the high school.

“It’s Game Time” is the newsletter’s sports section. “Spotlight on Board Members” is dedicated to the work of the School Board Directors. Our “1,000 Points of Light” is a popular feature that focuses on special achievements or historical facts related to the school district.

Massolutions has documented the Greater Johnstown School District news in The Trojan Times ranging from visits by then-presidential candidates Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton to the 1,000th football game and later the 600th win by the Trojans football team to items on the band, chorus, Scholastic Quiz team and much more.
