The Challenge Program: Stopping the Brain Drain
Massolutions has worked with The Challenge Program (TCP), based in Johnstown, on several key initiatives.

The Challenge Program is designed to motivate students to perform well in school and to give back to their communities.  The program also serves as the bridge between students and the business community by enabling business leaders to educate students on entrepreneurship. Business leaders help stop “The Brain Drain” by showing our future leaders that they can be successful in or near their hometown.

Massolutions’ work with the non-profit organization began with the very essence of any marketing effort – conducting a true SWOT analysis. This allowed TCP to begin its marketing efforts on solid footing with a firm understanding of where the organization was and where it needed to go. From there, Massolutions assisted with developing the group’s mission statement, key message points and “elevator” message.

Beyond those initial steps, Massolutions aided TCP in evaluating its business and developing an integrated marketing plan. A strategic planning process was embarked upon under which TCP organizational structure efficiencies, marketing and fundraising efforts were examined. From this study, an integrated marketing and public relations program was developed and implemented. This included branding and imaging work for the group.

Additionally, from the onset of the relationship with TCP, Massolutions has been engaged in ongoing mentoring of the group’s sales people. Massolutions has worked to assess the skill sets of TCP’s marketing and fundraising teams. Massolutions provided the teams with mentoring, coaching and training that has helped to create greater efficiencies and better results.
