Massolutions touts Johnstown Trojans Pride and Tradition The Greater Johnstown School District has relied on Massolutions to spread the word about the district’s positive academic and athletic achievements for the past three years.
Massolutions, in conjunction with GJSD, publishes and distributes the district’s official newsletter “Trojan Times” to 18,000+ students and households.
The newsletter, named after Johnstown’s well-known school mascot, has spotlighted GJSD’s increasing its scores on the PSSA test, students building bird houses with assistance from Lowe’s, a quilt-making fund-raiser and the construction of a garden and walking trail at the middle school among other accomplishments.
Trojan Times has documented history in its “1,000 Points of Light” feature that has focused on the 1,000th varsity football game played since 1898, and boys and girls basketball 1,000-point scorers. Features on a “Think Pink” fund-raiser for breast cancer research and the project to rebuild a once unusable baseball field also were well-received.
Trojan Times devotes sections to each of the district’s four buildings – the high school, middle school and two elementary schools. The school board, athletic programs and a message from GJSD Superintendent Barbara Parkins also are highlighted. |
